Old Breathitt High School at Quicksand about 1930. Established in 1927, the school was held here for eleven years until 1938. Later the building was used as Quicksand Grade School, where I graduated from the eight grade in 1961. It is now gone. The old gym can be seen just behind at left. Dorms were provided at left and right.
