Here is a part of Jackson not often seen in old photos. Taken from the Jackson bridge, about 1913, it depicts homes and stores along old highway 15 as it left Jackson headed toward Quicksand. None of these buildings remain today. Near the church (to its right) may be seen a tombstone which is today located in the Combs Cemetery on Hurst Lane.
