Official Honored during Field Day activities at Quicksand's Experiment
Substation. A plaque was unveiled marking 33 years of service
given by Roger Jones (third from left), former superintendent
of the station, who retired in 1957. Pictured with Jones (l-r):
Mrs. Martha Sparkman of Jackson, a daughter of Mr. Jones; Ann
Jones of Lexington, another daughter; Jones; Mrs. R. W. Jones;
and T. R. Bryant, Kentucky Agricultural Extension Service official,
who made the presentation. The new plaque will be mounted on
the substation's auditorium wall.
