Curt Jett (right) and Tom White (left) - 1903. These bad men were accused and later convicted of murdering J.B. Marcum, a noted lawyer of Jackson in May of 1903. The post card mistakenly called Breathitt County by the name of Jackson County. Photo was taken outside the Breathitt County Courthouse in Jackson town. State troops guard the two men. On three different occasions state troops were ordered to Breathitt County because of feud difficulties.
