The old Jackson High School building, shown here about 1922, was opened in 1911 and for a while served both city and county students. It stood on the site where the Herbert Spencer Grade School now stands. It was destroyed by fire about 1965. Jackson High School now operates in a building which stands next door to where this building stood.
