A clipping from an Army
newspaper in Korea has the following interesting information
about a Clayhole boy, Sgt. Andrew Hudson, son of Mr. and Mrs.
A. C. Hudson:
"This week at Parson Able saw us complete
the second and most difficult of two river crossings we were
assigned to construct. Our construction platoons have completed
five river crossings in the last two months. The men in this
company are gaining more knowledge and experience with each job
completed, and we all, here at Parson Able, are convinced that
we can now complete accomodation crossings in less than three
days.
"We are losing one of our most important
men via rotation this week. Sgt. Andrew Hudson, our first platoon
assistant sergeant, will depart on the 15th of this month for
home and discharge. He has done a wonderful job in this company,
and all the men will really miss him. We wish him a speedy, safe,
and comfortable voyage home. It will be a difficult task to find
a man of his calibre as a replacement, but we hope it can be
done."
