After the parade through the streets of Jackson students from all schools in Breathitt County gathered to hear announcements and winners of marching contest given. In this year, 1953, the crowd gathered at the Barkley Bowl on the campus of Lees College. Other years the marchers went to BHS field after the parade. In the background may be seen some older homes which no longer stand. To the right is "Old Lees" which still remains.
