From an old
photo published in The Jackson Times in 1972, we see Eliza
Hargis Strong, widow of Captain Bill Strong, with two of her
grandchildren: Clarence and Edward Strong. This photo was taken
in 1897, probably just after Captain Bill's death on May 9th.
