This treasured
old photo of Eliza Hargis Strong, d/o John Hargis and widow of
Captain Bill Strong, was probably taken in the early 1900s, not
long before her death in 1919. She is seen holding a Bible in
her hand and dressed in typical dark clothing, which seemed to
be common for formal photography, at that time.
