The L & N Depot In South Jackson - 1989

Shortly after these photos were taken, the L & N Depot in South Jackson was torn down. An effort was at the time underway by local historians and interested citizens to obtain it from the company so that a museum, etc. could be established. However, the efforts failed and today the spot, where thousands once lighted from the trains and entered Jackson, is a parking lot.
