The dam of the old Panhandle Mill may be seen in this rare scene taken about 1912. Notice the old barn. It is located on what was once called the Hargis Bottoms. Today, Breathitt County High School sits on these lands. The football field is located just to the left of where the barn once stood. The house behind the barn still stands. This is a copy made from an old glass slide in my collection.
