The Conley Bus Lines has announced
today the operation of a bus service on the Jackson-Salyersville
Road, Highway 30, and connecting with various points in Kentucky,
West Virginia, Ohio, and other points in that area.
Two trips daily will be made by this bus company
from the Greyhound Bus Station at Jackson at 8:45 a.m. CST and
4:15 p.m. Two arrivals in Jackson daily will also be made.
Morris Conley of Salyersville, manager and
operator of the Conley Lines, was in Jackson this morning and
stated that he was putting into service on this line modern busses
and planned convenient service for his patrons.
The Jackson-Salyersville highway has been
without bus service for some time, and this announcement of the
renewal of operation on this route will be heard with interest
by the traveling public.
With the highway recently reconstructed, the
bus service should be able to continue as it has planned, at
this time. There is a wide territory which will be benefitted
by this service.
