The old K & K (Kirk & Kristy) bridge which once stood at the mouth of Panbowl Creek fell in 1904. A second bridge collasped before use, and a third was finally strong enough to withstand the heavy log trains which brought lumber from the Camp Kristy area of Strongs Fork of Frozen. A train track extended from South Jackson to Camp Kristy for about ten years.
