A woman going home from the store on Saturday. This simple photo tells more than seen at first glance. It is taken on College Avenue just in front of where the Breathitt County Public Library stands today. Note in the shadows a large, two-story home just in front of the lady. It was one of many old homes which have disappeared into Jackson's history. Also, look at how high the sidewalk was and the small stone wall. To the left side of College Ave. are seen two large homes which still stand.
