A large crowd is shown during the ceremonies of laying the cornerstone of the Guerrant Presbyterian Church on Main Street, about 1914. Like the Baptist Church, an earlier Presbyterian Church had been burned during the Halloween Fire of 1913. Looking up Main Street one can see the Jackson Drug Company, the Hargis Mammoth Dept. Store, and Day Brother Dept. Store on the left side of Main. On the right side of Main may be seen the porches of the Jefferson Hotel and also of the Crawford Store. Note the little boy and his hat!
