Odis O. Howard, the famed Civil War general who fought at Gettsyburg and later in the West against Chief Joseph, came to Breathitt County with Rev. E.O. Guerrant in the years just after the great feuds of Breathitt County. They had an organizatin which they named the Soul Winners. This scene was probably taken at Elkatawa during a tent revival. That's Anne, daughter of Dr. Guerrant (whose feet may be seen at right), at the piano. As can be seen a large crowd of Breathitt Countains gathered to hear the words of the famous general who lost an arm during the Civil War.
