Building a new bridge to connect Jackson and South Jackson - about 1980. Notice the swinging bridge at right which people had to use while the new bridge (Jackson's fourth on the same spot) was being built. People who lived in South Jackson had to drive over Highway 30 and Town Hill to get to home from Jackson, a distance of several miles.
