Here are the teachers of the new Marie Roberts Elementary, taken on the day of the school's dedication. I don't have the exact date, but think it was in the middle 1960s. From left to right: Mrs. Mullins, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Turner, ?, and Mrs. Haddix. Back row left to right: Mr. Watts, Mrs. Watts, Mrs. Herald, and Mr. Combs - principal. The school was built at Lost Creek and still is in operation today. Its students come mostly from the old Quicksand and Caney school districts.
