Hotel and family at Elkatawa, a community just southeast of Jackson. For at least a year (1890) the rail head was located at Elkatawa before the tunnel was completed and the railroad came to Jackson in 1891. Of course, in 1890 Elkatawa was a boom town. Today, it is still a nice, peaceful community.
