Lower Broadway Scene - shows people, many of whom lost their homes, walking the streets. The big house belonged at the time to the Redwine family. It still stands today, just behind the health department which was built the following few years on the corner at right where several houses had stood before the fire. Most accounts say the fire started in the Thompson Hotel which stood on Broadway Street at left. (Note the walkway which once led to it.)
